Amanda Janz
Hi, my name’s Amanda, I am currently completing my Master of Counselling at City University.
My approach to counselling combines evidence-based practice and heartfelt presence—because I believe healing and growth happen best when you can truly come as you are.
Whether you’re a parent, teen, child, or adult navigating life’s losses and changes, I offer a warm, collaborative space to heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself. I view therapy as a supportive and inclusive process where you feel safe, heard, and understood.
I use an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to your unique needs. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you stay present and live in line with what matters most; Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) deepens emotional understanding and inner security; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) supports practical coping and shifting unhelpful thoughts; Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) highlights strengths and encourages small, hopeful steps forward.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, journaling, colouring/painting, playing the piano, and evening walks with my husband and our two mini bernedoodles.
I look forward to getting to know you!
